There’s a lot of talk these days about the 80/20 principle.
If you’re not familiar, it states that you get 80% of your results from 20% of your efforts.
Meaning that when you focus all of your attention on the 20% – you essentially give yourself permission to focus on the highest return of results possible.
And, while that’s fine and dandy, you can’t get to the 20% without being aware of the 80%.
So let’s shift our attention there for just a second my friend…
(I’ve been waiting to do this for a reallllly long time)
You see, I believe that when you cut out the 80%, you’re 90% of the way there.
Distractions, shiny objects, and terrible advice are plaguing all of us right now and we don’t even know it.
We’re being pressured to join every new social network and go “all-in” on every one of them –
Everyone these days is a guru and makes you feel like you NEED whatever marketing tactic they’re shelling out on their soapbox, with their megaphone in hand, and grupies nearby agreeing with their every breath –
The worst part (by far) is that all of these things capitalize on a deep dark fear that you’re not doing what’s required to run a successful business, but leave you worse-off than when you started.

I am so guilty of this, you know I’ve been comparing the different apps and software etc and kept holding back on stuff.

Everybody needs a good ass-kicking every now and again – even yours truly.
So give yourself permission – right now – to cut the crappy advice, shiny objects, and pressure-based marketers taking up space in your inbox.
Stick to basics and ONLY to things that lead you closer to your number 1 goal.
