There are some tough things about being an entrepreneur that they don’t tell you in the books.
Fears. Limiting beliefs plaguing your every move. The ups and downs of your bank account when you’re just getting started…
The list goes on.
Huge lesson I’ve been learning lately:
For instance, over the last 24 months I’ve steadily built a network of friends I’m proud of, but – for no other reason than fear and procrastination – have never asked many of them for referrals or ways I can help them.
I could list 10 ways I could help them or contacts in their phonebook, but never gathered the fortitude to make it clear.
About a year ago I noticed fear and procrastination causing the same issues with my email list:
(and see lots of online biz peeps doing the same these days)
You start getting some sign ups but struggle to know what to say to them, how to say it, or when you should say it.
So you sit down to write and nothing comes out.
The fear kicks in that no one will like it, and so you move on with your day.
The fact of the matter is that you and your message are unique, and you have a list (and tons of other people who know nothing about you) who NEED your help.
To be blunt:
You have to get out of your own way and make shit happen, my friend.
No one’s gonna do it for you.
No no one.
So stop with the excuses and send that email.
Your list will thank you.
