Lesson #5: There’s always “next time”

As an email marketer you’ll be hard pressed to see an email from me that ISN’T selling something.

Meaning, 19 times out of 20 I include a link at the bottom to go read a post, check a book out I love, buy the product I’m offering that will help you with the topic of them email.

So on, and so forth.

Luckily, mom taught me another valuable lesson.

Lesson #5: There’s always “next time”

When we would go shopping (as I loved doing with her) I’d always find something I wanted.

Probably to shut me up (and since I’m not the cheapest person to shop for as I have her taste), she’d say “next time”.

So I started bringing things to the shopping cart and say, “next time mom?”

And so it was.

Well this morning I got a little sappy with you and missed a huge opportunity.

You see, when you have a list you have a room full of your fans.

The point isn’t to leech money – it’s to make deposits of value.

As you make deposits you end up with a balance you can eventually withdrawal.

And while making money keeps the lights on, having an email list also let’s you help people.

You see, since brain cancer got the best of my mom and my family I have a soft spot for those in hard times and in need.

I know mom would want to help families and especially kids.
